April 18, 2008 - Erika Peña (OA) and Johnny Toledo (BGN) are engaged! The couple plans to wed at the end of the year. March 30 , 2008 - Congratulations to Tanya Moran-Avila (MB) who is expecting baby #2 due, September of 2008. March 19 , 2008 - Congratulations to Marsi Medrano-Harris (ZH) & Derrick Harris who are expecting their first baby this Fall. February 20, 2008 - Congratulations to Erica Quintero (ZN) for receiving the 'New Teacher of Year' Award for Huntington Beach Unified High School District. Great job sister. Keep up the great work! February 20, 2008 - Kari Williams (XA) and fiance Scott Lambert have purchased a new home in Corona, CA! February 19, 2008 - It's a boy! Jasmine Gonzales-Alvarado (ZH) and husband Carlos have welcomed their first child, Ethan Daniel Alvarado (7 lb. 10 oz. 19 in.)
January 22, 2008 - Delta Chapter Sisters give birth on same day in same hospital in Clovis, CA. Viviana Hernandez (DR) and Reyes Regalado had a boy named Xavier born at 4:40 p.m. Ana Martinez (DN) and Joe Martinez became the parents of a baby girl at 11:00 p.m. Both Mommy's & babies are doing fine. long. January 5, 2008 - Congratulations to Angela Pineda-Cabral (KB) who is expecting baby #2. Mommy to be is due in July of ‘08. December 20, 2007 - Congratulations Lupita Mendoza (KZ) on her engagement to Robert Catano (Nu Alpha Kappa). The date has been set and wedding bells will ring for the happy couple on 06/07/08 in San Diego, CA. December 14, 2007 - Congratulations to Luisa Rodriguez-Levario (XB) and husband Rene Levario who await the arrival of their first child in March 2008! November 21, 2007 - Congratulations to Tatiana Martinez (XB) and Richard S. Ramirez who are expecting their first child in April, 2008! Congrats Sister!
November 3, 2007 - Sisters collected over 100 items and $150.00 in donations for our Quarterly Philanthropy benefiting the Santa Barbara County, Habitat for Humanity. Iota Chapter (Santa Clara) collected the most items. Way to go sisters!! November 1, 2007 - Baby on the way! Congratulations to parent-to-be Nicole Bover (XQ) and Michael Morales! Baby due in June, 2008! October 27, 2007 - Congratulations to the Northern Step and Stroll Team made up of sisters from Alpha Chapter (CSUS), Beta Chapter (UCD) and Theta Chapter (SSU) took Second Place in the Silk, Latino Stroll Competition hosted at our Theta Chapter - Sonoma State University. Lambda Sigma Gamma sisters collected over 500 items such as;
dress up outfits, crayons, drawing items, books, arts and
crafts materials etc. to donate to the Fresno Children’s
Hospital. Thank you sisters you’re your hardwork and
efforts for making our quarterly National Philanthropy event
a success! Congratulations to Omicron Chapter (CSUN) who collected
the most items and special thanks to Emily Zaman (OB), who
made a generous donation on behalf of Disney, Inc.
July 17 , 2007 - Jonathan Diego Rodriguez was born to Leticia (Castaneda -ZH) and Cuahutemoc Rodriguez. Jonathan weighed 5lbs 11oz and 19 inches. Baby Jonathan is healthy and happy, and home with mom and Dad! Congrats Leti and Temo!

May 11 , 2007 - Susana Garcia (ZL) graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law. Graduating with high honors, Susi also received the National Association of Women Lawyers' Outstanding Student Award. Way to go Sister! Viviana Ixchel Perez was born at 6:37 AM in Riverside, CA. February 27 , 2007 - Mita Durazo-Tessier (ZB) and husband Matt Tessier have welcomed a third daughter, Tristan Avia, to their family. (8 lbs, 5 oz, 21 in) February 21 , 2007 - Carla Galindez (ZK) was accepted to the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA and awarded a $60,000 merit scholarship. February 16 , 2007 - Maria Tania Becerra (GG) recently joined the faculty at Cal State University Bakersfield, in the Theatre Department. Maria is directing a theatre production that will play Feb 22-25 at CSUB's Dore Theatre. February 5, 2006 - Gamma Chapter (San Jose State University) was recognized by their campus’ United Sorority and Fraternity Council with the highest cumulative GPA amongst all local Ethnic Greek Organizations on their campus for the Fall 2006 semester. Congratulations Sisters!! IPSE!! January 27, 2007 - Our chapters donated a total of 213 school items to the El Sereno Middle School Parent Center. This center provides underprivileged families with parenting classes, as well as with school supplies, meals and clothes. Congratulations to Upsilon Chapter- University of California, Los Angeles, who donated the most items (104) and our second place, Xi Chapter- University of California, Riverside, who donated 96 items. January 15, 2007 - Congratulations to Veronica Posada (QL) and Richard De Leon (Nu Alpha Kappa) on their engagement. January 13, 2007 - Nicole (ZZ) & Lou Bravo (and daughter Victoria) are proud to annouce the expected addition to their family. Baby Boy Bravo will arrive in May 2007. January 4, 2007 - Congratulations to Gicela Padron (XD) on her acceptance into the Masters Program of Forensic Psychology at Argosy Unveristy in Santa Ana, CA! January 4, 2007 - Irma Vasquez (KM) and Johnny Jaime (Sigma Lambda Beta) are the proud parents of a baby girl. Arianna Yvette Jaime was born on Christmas night at 11:23pm. She weighed 7 lbs. , 3 oz. and measured 21.5 inches. Congrat's Sister! December 2, 2006 - Congratulations to Denise Cabrera (XG) on her engagement to her high school sweetheart! Wedding bells will ring on May 24, 2008! November 30, 2006 - In an effort to provide diverse programming for their campus, Tau Chapter (CSULB) held their first Multicultural Comedy Show which was a great success. The show brought out a diverse group of comedians and audience. Thanks to all who came out to support! November 22, 2006 - Lisa Przekop, Zeta Chapter Sister-Advisor, has been named a Santa Barbara, CA "Local Hero". Zeta chapter is honored to have had Lisa as a chapter advisor for 12 years now. She has given so much not only to the sisters at UCSB, but to the community as well. Lisa also celebrated her 10th year anniversary as a sister at Zeta Chapter's 15 year celebration on November 10, 2006. November 16, 2006 – Kappa Chapter, San Diego State University were featured in the university’s newspaper, The Daily Aztec about their food donation for Thanksgiving. The ladies at SDSU donated approximately 45 food baskets to families for Thanksgiving. The ladies were able to do this thru tremendous food donations and fundraising. November 13, 2006 - Phi Chapter Advisor (California State University-Fullerton) nominated for Most Outstanding Campus Organization Advisor. Peggy Bockman, Assistant Dean of the Communications Department. November 4, 2006 - Gamma Chapter, San Jose State University took 2nd place in their Iron Chef Competition amongst other United Fraternity and Sorority Council. They were paired with Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity and Sigma Alpha Zeta Sorority, Inc. November 4, 2006 - Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. collected 70 bags of clothing within one week to donate to the Los Angeles Midnight Mission. Tau Chapter (CSU Long Beach)) won the clothing drive with over 20 bags donated, while Mu Chapter (CSU Chico) came in second with 10 bags. Great job ladies! October 28, 2006- Kappa Chapter, San Diego State University took 3rd place in their Homecoming Float amongst all Greeks at SDSU! October 24 , 2006 -Congratulations to Angela Silvestri (QZ - an accomplished dog trainer / handler) and her dog Streaker who at the Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers Dog Show won "Winners Dog", "Best of Winners" and "Best of Breed". Congrat's sister! October 24 , 2006 - Brenda Rodriguez-Sandler (ZH - former LSG National President) and her husband Michael Sandler are the proud new parents of a baby boy! Issac Azul Sandler arrived at 12:44 p.m. weighing 7lbs., 14oz. and was 21.5 inches long. Dad's future LA Dodger is at home now and doing great! October 16, 2006 - Phi Chapter, California State University-Fullerton raised over $700.00 for the AIDS Walk. Awesome Job Ladies! Keep up the good work! October 16, 2006 - Epsilon Chapter, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo was honored with the Highest GPA Award for Spring 2006 Quarter by the Cultural Greek Council. Epsilon Chapter also had the 2nd Highest GPA amongst all Greek organizations on their campus. October 7 , 2006 - Jasmine Gonzales (ZH) was married in Los Angeles, CA to her long time boyfriend Carlos Alvarado. Bridesmaids included Jasmine's chapter sisters, Cindy Gutierrez (ZQ) and Arleen Lemus-Olivas (ZH) - Maid of Honor was Christal Lord (ZH). Jasmine and Carlos honeymooned in Jamaica. October 2, 2006 - Stephanie Lararowich, Gamma Chapter Sigma Class was nominated as Homecoming Queen at San Jose State University. Congrats Sister!! September 24, 2006 - Alpha Chapter, California State University, Sacramento was awarded Highest GPA Award from the United Fraternity and Sorority Council for Spring 2006 Semester. Congrats Ladies! September 9, 2006 - Karla Garay (TA) married Jack Baly. The high school sweethearts exchanged vows in La Verne, CA. Karla's Bridesmaids included Sisters Nicole Gutierrez (TG), Elaine Hernandez (TA), Jennifer Ratner (TA) & Christine Grover (TA). Mr. & Mrs. Baly w honeymooned in Tahiti. September 4 , 2006 - Early Surprise! Melissa Raaff-Fernandez (ZG) and husband Leo Fernandez were blessed with the early arrival of a BABY BOY! Diego Alejandro Fernandez was born in Los Angeles, CA (6 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches). August 21, 2006 - Isabel Gutierrez-Andrade (ZA) and husband Jose welcomed a second daughter to their family, Anissa Alexa Faith Andrade. August 21, 2006 - Angela Estrada-Galvan (ZZ) and husband Matt are the proud parents of another boy! Luke Elias Galvan was born on August 21, 2006 (7 lbs. 6 oz. 20 1/2 inches). Mommy, Daddy, big sister Alex and big brother Matt are all very excited that Baby Luke has arrived! August 12, 2006 - Monica Vera (XA) married Daniel Mejia in Chino Hills, CA. The couple met as undergrad students at UC Riverside. Sister Kari Williams (XA) stood in as Maid of Honor and Dina Ponce-Perez (XA) & Rosa Monares (XA) as bridesmaids. The couple honeymooned in Maui. August 11 , 2006 - Claudia Palos (ZB - former LSG National President) and husband Walter Rodriguez (Nu Alpha Kappa) welcomed a daughter to their family. Makayla Hope Palos Rodriguez was born in Anaheim Hills, CA at 3:39 PM. (8 lbs, 5 oz, 20 & 3/4 inches). Future Godmother Yvett Merino (ZB) was also present to welcome baby Makayla into the world August 5, 2006 - Sharina Carbajal (ZI) is engaged to Rafael Perez (Nu Alpha Kappa, SDSU). Rafa proposed while the couple vacationed in Acapulco, Mexico. Wedding will take place in San Diego,CA. Date to be announced! July 30, 2006 - Congrat's to Patty Torres-Bruno (ZG) and Noelia Sanchez (ZG) for completing the San Francisco Marathon. Both sisters received their Tiffany & Co. medalion at the end of the race! Great Job Ladies! July 15, 2006 - Summer vacation engagement! Kari Williams (XA) is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Scott Lambert. Scott & Kari were on a family cruise to the British Isles when he proposed. Congratulations Sister!
